ByAnnie Basics

The ByAnnie Basics course is meant to help you learn the basic skills and techniques you need to make any ByAnnie pattern. If you're new to sewing ByAnnie patterns, this class will be a prerequisite for more advanced classes and Bag Sew Days with Theresa. This course will help you learn everything from reading ByAnnie patterns, cutting, quilting, and binding, to how to work with mesh, vinyl, and zippers. Theresa will share her best practices and techniques that will help you to create beautiful projects! You will go home with great samples of different processes that you will be able to refer back to as you make other projects. Please bring the following to class: 2 fat quarters of your choice and 1 - 40” ByAnnie zipper. These will be used to make your samples so they don’t need to be matching or fancy! At anytime, you can experience ACMEs one-stop shop for all of your ByAnnie.com supplies including ZIPPERS, PATTERNS, HARDWARE, MESH, VINYL, SOFT AND STABLE, FOLD-OVER ELASTIC, and WEBBING. LuAnn will show you how to create each of the blocks as you are learning lots of tips, tricks and techniques. The Sew in Love finished quilt is 60 inches square. Monthly class is instruction only. Mod Owl Revival Quilt

Join Theresa during this two day class and make the adorable Mod Owl Revival Quilt. You will learn how to use the Sew Kind of Wonderful Quick Curve Ruler and Mini Quick Curve Ruler to make the owls. Will also learn how to accurately make flying geese. There are kits(includes pattern) for purchase or you may decide to use your stash. If you decide to use your own stash you will need to purchase the Mod Owl Revival Pattern available at ACME. Beginning Piecing with Theresa

Now is the time....don't wait any longer. You have been interested in learning how to piece a quilt and need a little help. Join us in a perfect class for learning the basics of quilt piecing. Theresa will cover rotary cutting, pressing, sewing an accurate1/4 inch seam and matching intersections. Each month we will focus on one block in the quilt, learning different techniques to prefect the block. Later classes will cover assembling the quilt and putting on borders. Basic quilting terms and tools will be covered. Everyone will be working on the same projects. We will be making Signs of Autumn wall hanging . Fabric kits will be available to purchase prior to class. You will meet 5 different Saturdays from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm each day starting August 8th.

Judy Niemeyer - Fancy Flamingo

The Fancy Flamingo quilt pattern designed by Judy Niemeyer will be created during this 6 day class. You will learn several of Judy Niemeyer's paper piecing techniques. Sewing Machine Cleaning

ACME is hosting a Sewing Machine Cleaning day. Bring your machine down to ACME and Keith Radford will work his magic. If it needs something more specific than what he can get done that day, Keith will take your machine home and then bring it back on a different day. We hope that you can take advantage of getting your most important tool of your sewing room back up to great working order!! Keith's $75 cleaning/service fee is due in advance via cash or check. Additional charges may occur if more repairs are needed. When you pay your $75 fee, please let ACME know the status of your machine (basically how dirty it might be). Also, please bring your machine into ACME before the cleaning day.

BOO Table Runner

This darling table runner uses the BOO quilt pattern by The Pattern Basket. It is a full quilt pattern, but we will making 4 ghosts in our 16”x48” runner. You are welcome to make the entire quilt if you would like. The cutting and piecing in this pattern is very precise and you will gain confidence in making more difficult blocks, yet it is doable for all levels of quilters.

Sewing Machine Cleaning

ACME is hosting a Sewing Machine Cleaning day. Bring your machine down to ACME and Keith Radford will work his magic. If it needs something more specific than what he can get done that day, Keith will take your machine home and then bring it back on a different day. We hope that you can take advantage of getting your most important tool of your sewing room back up to great working order!! Keith's $75 cleaning/service fee is due in advance via cash or check. Additional charges may occur if more repairs are needed. When you pay your $75 fee, please let ACME know the status of your machine (basically how dirty it might be). Also, please bring your machine into ACME before the cleaning day.

Welcome to Tucker University at Acme Fabric and Quilt Co.! Tucker University is a series of technique classes for the Studio 180 Design Tools and Techniques. Each class will cover a different Studio 180 Design tool to help quilters build their skills and accuracy as well as ways to expand the use of the tool. These technique classes will teach you how the slightly oversized construction to ensure precision trimming for precise unit sizes when finished. Regardless of where you are in your quilting journey, this series of classes are intended to offer you an exciting opportunity to build your skills and accuracy! The ByAnnie Basics course is meant to help you learn the basic skills and techniques you need to make any ByAnnie pattern. If you're new to sewing ByAnnie patterns, this class will be a prerequisite for more advanced classes and Bag Sew Days with Theresa. This course will help you learn everything from reading ByAnnie patterns, cutting, quilting, and binding, to how to work with mesh, vinyl, and zippers. Theresa will share her best practices and techniques that will help you to create beautiful projects! You will go home with great samples of different processes that you will be able to refer back to as you make other projects. Please bring the following to class: 2 fat quarters of your choice and 1 - 40” ByAnnie zipper. These will be used to make your samples so they don’t need to be matching or fancy! At anytime, you can experience ACMEs one-stop shop for all of your ByAnnie.com supplies including ZIPPERS, PATTERNS, HARDWARE, MESH, VINYL, SOFT AND STABLE, FOLD-OVER ELASTIC, and WEBBING. String Block Extravaganza

String block quilts are always a fun way to use up some of those extra stash piles sitting around! Marguerite will teach you a different method of making string blocks. Think about how you want your block to finish. Do you want a main color in the center such as black/white/blue? Do you want the finished quilt to have the same color theme? Do you want to have a star finish with the blocks? Do you want all dark colors? Or all light colors? Do you want all solids or a mixture of prints and solids or no solids at all? We will work several blocks at a time to reduce the number of times you have to get up to iron and/or cut your blocks apart.
