Bargello with a Twist

Join Janice Lippincott as she shows you a different technique for a Bargello.  Janice has continued to explore Bargello Quilts since her first wall hanging made in 1990. Since she found it time consuming to match all the seams on a traditional bargello, she designed this Bargello with a Twist and the intersections are each a “half step” up or down, thus eliminating the need to match seams. It is so much faster to make, and easier too! Bargello is based on a needlepoint pattern from the Bargello Palace in Florence, Italy from the 16th Century. Strips are sewn together and cut apart in various widths to create the movement. It’s all straight line sewing!

There will be 2 sessions with the first being an information session (no sewing at information session)
